Indraprastha Was The Capital Of The Pandavas During The Mahabharata Period. Delhi Is An Important Centre Of Education In India. Along With The Development Of Delhi, Education Has Also Developed Rapidly Here. The Monuments Built In The City Of Delhi Show That The Culture Here Is Influenced By The Oriental Historical Background. Delhi's Association And Geographical Proximity With The Capital New Delhi Has Increased The Importance Of National Events And Occasions Here Many Times. Many National Festivals Like Republic Day, Independence Day And Gandhi Jayanti Are Celebrated Here With Great Enthusiasm. On The Independence Day Of India, The Prime Minister Of This Country Addresses The People Here From The Red Fort.
