Terms and conditions of heli service in Chardham
ADD- ON SERVICES:
- Our team can arrange any extras in your tour like: air tickets, travel to Haridwar or Rishikesh, hotel booking for extra night stay, special pooja, etc.
- This needs to be confirmed in advance.
TOUR GUIDELINES:
- VIP Darshans are subject to the orders issued by the temple authorities and State government.
- In view of our helicopters’ weight-carrying capacity, Heli reserves the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills. Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in the same helicopter flight.
- FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS: This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour, and departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs. However, Heli reserves the right to change/postpone the
timings of flying one day prior, subject to weather/force majeure reasons. - Passengers must submit their correct weights at the time of booking. Submitting incorrect weights may lead to passengers being debarred from boarding without any refunds.
- Luggage Allowed: Each passenger is allowed to carry only one piece of luggage weighing a maximum of 5 kg. Suitcases or large travel bags are not allowed on the helicopter; hence, duffel bags will be provided to all passengers by our team on the day of arrival. It is necessary to maintain the 5 kg luggage limit during the journey, and the luggage weight will be checked at all the Dhams. In case of excess weight, a penalty of Rs 500 per kg will be levied, and luggage will be loaded only subject to the carrying capacity of the aircraft. If the excess luggage exceeds the permissible limit, it will be unloaded and not carried further.
- Passengers are advised to pack thoughtfully to avoid any inconvenience.
- Arrival/departure details must be provided at the time of booking so that we can smoothly operate the tour
- Passengers should book Dehradun arrival flights reaching around 03:00 pm, or earlier.
- Kedarnath shuttle service: Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath ji in a shuttle services flight. And it is likely that passengers travelling together may not be accommodated on the same flight.
- Any sudden increase in taxes/levy by the State Government or the temple authorities, will be borne by the passengers.
- If online yatra registration will be compulsory, then passengers will have to do the same on their own prior to travel. In cases where the booking is made through a travel agency, the agency will be responsible for completing the online registration on behalf of the
passengers. - Comfortable clothing such as tracksuits or Kurtas are advised on the tour. As for shoes, one should carry sports or trekking shoes.
- World Trip Plan has its own crew at all the Dhams. For assistance, they will be with the passengers always
- Infants below 2 years (Max 12 kg weight) are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.
- In case an infant is on board, the weight of the infant will reduce the total permissible weight of that respective group.
- Any donations, tips, pitthu, extra porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.
- Network connectivity at Harsil & Badrinath is very poor. BSNL, Airtel & Jio are the main telecom services, that work in these regions mostly.
- TEMPLE TIMINGS: The opening and closing timings of the Dhams often change every season. Our team carefully plans and schedules the flights for each group in accordance with the temple timings to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated pilgrimage experience.
- All temples in Dham sector are located at a high altitude, therefore passengers are advised to carry medication after consulting their doctor before travelling. Also, they are advised to carry warm clothing with them, because during evenings & nights, the
temperature can drop drastically. - For the senior citizens and people with medical issues are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment.
COVID TRAVEL GUIDELINES
- COVID protocols must be adhered by the passengers as per the effective mandate of the government. Without adhering to the government guidelines, boarding shall be denied to the passengers without refund.
SEATING CAPACITY
- The seating capacity of our helicopter is 06 passengers.
HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION
- The maximum load capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding luggage weight).
- Passengers are carried on board depending on the load and temperature conditions.
- The pilot's decision will be final.
- Therefore, passengers are required to inform us of their exact body weight at the time of booking.
Exceedance of helicopter weight carrying capacity will result in passengers getting deboarded and cancelled for the Heli-tour without any refund.
OVERWEIGHT CHARGES
- Overweight charges are applicable @ INR 2,500/kg.
- This will be chargeable to passengers weighing above 75 kg. But excess weight will only be calculated on the total excess weight
above the total permissible weight of all the group members combined, i.e., permissible weight = 75 Kg x (No. of pax).
PENALTY ON SUBMISSION OF INCORRECT WEIGHT
- If any discrepancy is found in the weight reported by the passenger while weighing, a penalty of Rs 20,000 will be levied, along with overweight charges as per overweight norms. Passengers will be accepted on board the aircraft subject to the permissible load carrying capacity of the aircraft.
- Passengers are strictly advised to provide accurate weight details to avoid this penalty.
- Please Note: While submitting the body weights, please keep in view that you submit your final weight on the higher side, after adding extra weight of your clothes and shoes.
BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER
- Flying over mountains is subject to bad weather and many nforeseen circumstances, such as delay in air traffic clearance/permission, movement of VVIPs, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden technical breakdown of aircraft, illness of flight crew members or passengers arriving late at the helipad, etc. Hence, passengers must be prepared to face any possible situation and inconvenience in such circumstances.
IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS
- AADHAR Card copies are to be shared by all Indian passengers, & passport in case of foreign nationals.
EXTRA DAY
- We advise our passengers to keep an extra day in hand beyond the last day of their travel to avoid missing their return flight in case they get stranded at a destination due to bad weather or unforeseen reasons.
ADD-ON SERVICES
- Additional services which are not mentionedin our inclusions will be extra chargeable, and the same must be confirmed to us at the time of booking
ACCOMMODATION AT KEDARNATH TOP:
- Accommodation can be booked for pilgrims at Kedarnath Top at an additional cost. However, World Trip Plan does not recommend pilgrims to stay overnight at Kedarnath Top due to the risk of altitude sickness and lack of basic amenities such as hot water, heaters and medical aid. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
- World Trip Plan will not be responsible for any medical emergency of the passengers on the ground. Hence, in their own interest, passengers are advised to please consult a doctor and get a medical check-up done before undertaking the journey. Medical check-up is mainly required if the passenger has any medical illness or condition. If medical evacuation is required by helicopter, it will cost Rs 1,30,000 per hour + UCADA royalty and landing charges + GST.
CARRIAGE BY AIR ACT, 1972
- This transport is subject to World Trip Plan Services Regulations relating to the conditions of non-international transport (passengers and baggage) which are framed in accordance with the Air Transport Act, 1972 and the Notification regarding the application of non-international transport. The liability of the Company in the event of death or injury of the passenger or any other bodily injury to the passenger or his registered baggage during air transport shall be governed by the provisions of Sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the Second Schedule of the Air Transport Act 1972, with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications etc., as notified in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation and as amended from time to time.
The right is reserved to cancel passengers' tickets
- World Trip Plan reserves the right to cancel tickets of passengers who are unruly, abusive, intoxicated, ill, mentally unsound or anyone else we consider unsafe to fly. No refund will be given to such passengers.

RESCHEDULING OF BOOKING
- Rescheduling your booking for any future or previous travel date will be subject to availability, and on payment of 10% of the total travel cost. This will only be allowed if informed at least 28 days prior to the arrival date. If rescheduling is requested less than 28 days prior to the travel date, the booking will be treated as cancelled, and a new booking will be given subject to availability after applying applicable cancellation charges.
PAYMENT TERMS:
- We accept payments via bank transfers, cheques, cash, UPI and card machine.
- The booking is to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the total amount.
- Balance payment will be taken 28 days prior to the date of arrival at Dehradun.
- Passengers will not be permitted to board or commence the tour, unless full & final payment of the tour has been done.
- Payments via credit/debit card machine will incur 3.5% extra charge.
- Payment via American Express / Foreign cards will incur 4.5% extra charge.
- Tour will be cancelled if payment is not made as per policy
CANCELLATIONS POLICY:
If passengers cancel their booking, following cancellation charges will be applicable –
- More than 28 days prior to travel date: 40% of total tour cost.
- More than 15 to 28 days prior to travel date: 60% of total tour cost.
- 14 - 08 days prior to travel date: 80% of total tour cost.
- 07 Days or less prior to travel date: No Refund
- No show: No Refund.
- After commencement of the tour: No Refund.CO
FORCE MAJEURE & BAD WEATHER REFUNDS:
Basis of Refund:
- Tour Cost: The refundable amount of each uncovered Dham will be as mentioned below:
- Kharsali/Yamunotri: 20% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards Flight preparation charges and utilized services (if any)
- Jhalla/Gangotri: 20% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards Flight preparation & service charges, and utilized services (if any).
- Sersi/Kedarnath: 30% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards Flight preparation & service charges, and utilized services (if any).
- Badrinath: 30% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards Flight reparation & service charges, and utilized services (if any).
- Full tour cancellation: Full refund minus INR 30,000 towards flight preparation, hotel retention charges and utilized services (if any).
- Additional Services: The cost of additional services provided at any Dham during the tour will be deducted over & above the refundable Tour Cost.
- Refunds will not be given for unused service.
- COVID-19 Lockdown, or any National/State Emergency: If passengers test positive for COVID before travel, or the trip is cancelled by the government, or any national or state emergency is imposed, no refund will be applicable. However, passengers will be provided a credit voucher by Himalayan Heli against the advance payment, which will be valid for one year. This can be used by the passenger or any of their friends/relatives for any of our helicopter tours or charter services.
BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES
- If the flight is cancelled or delayed due to bad weather, technical fault or any unforeseen reason beyond the control of World Trip Plan Services, World Trip Plan Services will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, customers will be refunded as per our refund policy. Any inconvenience caused due to cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the Operator. No compensation or reimbursement will be given for accommodation, transportation, food or any other additional travel expenses incurred by passengers in case of flight cancellation.
- If the trip is not able to depart from Dehradun on the first day due to the above reasons, the trip will be treated as cancelled and full refund will be given as per our policies. However, if the travellers wish to consider travelling on the next available date, a fresh booking can be made for the same. Our team will propose the available options to the travellers. The balance/unused amount against the previous booking can be adjusted against the new booking. And any additional cost incurred will have to be borne by the travellers.
- If the trip departs as scheduled from Dehradun but gets disrupted during the journey, our team will propose a possible revised itinerary within the scheduled package days but no extension in days will be given.
- Any extension proposed by passengers to the package will be considered at additional cost only and will be subject to operational feasibility
- If the flight is not booked for 5 consecutive days, full refund will be given to the passengers as per our policies.
- New Chardham pilgrims departing from Dehradun on any travel date will be our top priority over back-logged pilgrims from previous days.
- In case the traveller gets stranded at Kedarnath peak due to bad weather or force majeure, the accommodation expenses at Kedarnath will be borne directly by the customer.
KEDARNATH BAD WEATHER DISCLAIMER:
- Helicopter flights to Kedarnath are stopped due to bad weather, which is very common in the Kedar Valley. Due to this, there is a risk of travellers getting stranded and spending the night on the peak of Kedarnath.
- In such circumstances our team will try to arrange rooms in the guest house available at Kedarnath top. These rooms will be booked on an ad-hoc basis depending on availability, and the accommodation charges will be borne directly by the guests. Additionally, no refund will be applicable for pre-booked accommodation at Sersi in such circumstances.
- Also, please note that guest houses in Kedarnath are very basic, often lacking standard amenities like hot water, clean bedding and proper sanitation. And unfortunately, due to the high demand for rooms, the cost of accommodation in Kedarnath is unreasonably high compared to the quality of services offered. Guests are advised to be prepared for such contingencies.
- If passengers stay beyond the stipulated period due to bad weather/unforeseen reasons, they will have to pay extra night stay charges on direct payment basis to the hotels.
- If travellers require additional helicopter flight at the end of their tour, it will cost Rs 1,30,000 per hour + UCADA royalty and landing charges + GST.
- Heli cannot take off to Harsil/Jhalla in turbulent wind conditions - which is common in Harsil valley after 1200 hrs.
- In case a group wishes to cancel the trip midway through the trip, transportation will be arranged by World Trip Plan, however, the cost will be borne by the travellers on a direct payment basis.
- Any increase in government fees or taxes after confirmation of booking will be charged additionally to passengers. This has to be paid before commencement of journey.
DISPUTES
- Disputes relating to the validity, interpretation, application or performance of the Service or any of its terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Jaipur.
