Rishikesh Is The Starting Point For The Chota Char Dham Pilgrimage Places Like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri And Yamunotri And Himalayan Tourist Places Like Harsil, Chopta, Auli And Famous Summer And Winter Trekking Destinations Like Dodital, Dayara Bugyal, Kedarkanth, Har Ki Doon Valley For Camping And Panoramic Views Of The Majestic Himalayas.

It Is One Of The Major Places To Visit. This Hill Station Falls In The Middle Of The Himalayan Range, Which Is Also Called The Queen Of Mountains. This Is The Reason Why This City Appears Like A Fairyland To Tourists. Mussoorie Is Also The Gateway To Gangotri. The Flora And Fauna Found In Dehradun Further Enhance Its Charm. It Is A Popular Summer Tourist Destination For The Residents Of Delhi And Uttar Pradesh. It Is A Very Beautiful City. Enjoy Going By Ropeway To Gun Hill, The Second Highest Peak Of Mussoorie. It Can Also Be Reached On Foot. From The Gun Hill One Can See Beautiful Views Of The Himalayan Mountain Ranges I.e. Bandarpoonch, Srikanta, Pithawara And Gangotri Group Etc. In The Years Before Independence, A Cannon Placed On The Top Of This Hill Used To Fire A Shot Every Day At Noon So That People Could Set Their Watches, Hence The Name Of This Place As Gun Hill.
