Sukhadia Circle (Square) is a popular recreational centre in Udaipur in Indian state of Rajasthan. It is a large roundabout in the city's northern suburb of Panchwati, on the road to Ranakpur and Mt. Overview

Sukhadia Circle is a small pond with a 21-foot-high three-tiered fountain in the middle. The fountain is made of white marble and is shaped like an ear of wheat, symbolizing prosperity. Boat rides are available in the pond, and camel and horse ride options are also available around Sukhadia Circle. There are also many small gardens, food shops and play areas for children around it.

 

History

Sukhadia Circle was constructed in 1968 and opened to the public in 1970. It is named after the late Mohan Lal Sukhadia, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and a native of Udaipur.

Summers can be quite hot in Udaipur, so it is advisable to visit in the morning or evening if you are visiting between April and June.
