After meeting the group at Jammu Railway Station at 10:00 AM, we were welcomed by WTP officials. Subsequently, we departed for Srinagar; upon reaching the city, we checked into our house boat, freshened up, rested, and headed out for an evening stroll.

The Amarnath Yatra 2026 is scheduled to take place from July 3, 2026, to August 9, 2026, spanning a total duration of 38 days. Registration for this pilgrimage will commence on April 14, 2026, through the official channels of the SASB. An obligatory health certificate is required for this pilgrimage, which encompasses the traditional Pahalgam and the shorter Baltal routes.

 

Key Information for the 2026 Amarnath Yatra

  • Duration: July 3 – August 9, 2026
  • Registration Begins: April 14, 2026
  • Mode of Registration: Online via the official SASB website and through designated bank branches.
  • Daily Limit: 10,000 pilgrims per day (excluding those traveling by helicopter).
  • Age Limit: 13 to 70 years.
  • Mandatory Requirement: A Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) obtained from authorized doctors is required for registration.
  • This pilgrimage takes place during the holy month of Shravan and concludes on the day of Shravan Purnima (Raksha Bandhan).
